Madhuri Dixit entering Broadway show!!!

It’s been a while since Bollywood’s ‘dhak dhak‘ Hot Babe Girl Madhuri Dixit was last seen on the big screens but she is still alive in the minds of the people. The good news is that Bollywood Choreographer Saroj Khan is planning to produce a Broadway show based on historical dancer Amrapali, with Madhuri in the lead role.

Saroj said that they are planning to start a Broadway show based on Amrapali, as she is very famous abroad. He added that Madhuri will play the main character if all goes as planned. The talks are still on. Feroz Khan will direct it and Javed Akhtar will provide the lyrics.

It may be recalled that Saroj was behind Madhuri’s hit dance numbers like “Ek Do Teen” from Tezaab, “Chane Ke Khet” from Anjaam and “Dola Re” from Devdas. He has also worked with Hot Sridevi and Hot Karisma Kapoor.

India’s Bachchan reverts to childhood in unusual film.

An unusual Indian film that casts 68-year-old Bollywood Legend Superstar Amitabh Bachchan as a 13-year-old school boy, with his own son playing the lead, has the world’s most prolific film industry buzzing.

In “Paa,” Bachchan plays Auro, a teenager afflicted with Progeria, a rare genetic condition that causes a person to age faster than normal.

And, in an ironic twist, the role of Auro’s father is being played by Bachchan’s actor son, Abhishek.

“The director of the film came up with the idea that he wanted me to play my father’s father and we set about looking for a plausible reason to do that. That is when we came upon Progeria,” Abhishek Bachchan told Reuters.

“Paa” opens in more than 700 cinemas in 20 countries on Friday.

Posters for the film, made on a budget of around $3 million, show an almost unrecognizable Amitabh Bachchan, with a large bald head, bulging eyes, and buck teeth, wearing a school uniform.

The film, however, focuses on the relationship between father and son, and doesn’t “talk about the tragic life of a Progeria victim,” Abhishek said.

Bachchan’s role and heavy make-up, which took five hours to apply, is uncommon in Bollywood, which generally puts out films that revolve round love stories and trademark song-and-dance sequences, or more commonplace social or political themes.

“The makeup was the toughest part, but I don’t want anyone to think that this is a film about Progeria. This is a father-son story at its heart,” director R. Balakrishnan said.

Bachchan, one of India’s most well-known and respected actors, said he was intrigued by the fact that he would play his own son’s son, but Abhishek said he deliberately distanced himself from that real-life relationship.

“We are actors and we know that when the camera is rolling, all relationships go out of the window. As an actor I can’t be thinking, “oh, he is my father, and I am playing his father.’ That just messes with your head,” he said.

Bollywood Hot Actor Ranbir Kapoor visits kids in hospital.

On the occasion of Children’s Day Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor spent time narrating stories and singing for the children admitted at a hospital in Mumbai.

“It’s my pleasure to be here. They actually called my mother as I was travelling. When I heard about it, I didn’t want to miss it,” said Ranbir while interacting with kids admitted at the Hinduja Hospital. Ranbir sang the title song of his film “Bachna Ae Hasino” and even danced with the kids. He also sat down with the kids and read out from “Jungle Book”.

Jaideep Sahni, writer of “Chak De! India” and “Khosla Ka Ghosla” also sat and talked to the kids for a while. Ekta Kapoor and Aftab Shivdasani, who couldn’t make it for the interaction sent a set of story books for the children.

Vijay Gupta, deputy director, marketing of Hinduja Hospital said: “From now onwards we will organise such sessions regularly in the hospital.”

Bollywood Superstar Amitabh Bachchan ‘gifts’ land to village council for Girls College.

The controversy over Amitabh Bachchan buying agricultural land in Barabanki district of Uttar Pradesh ended when the Bollywood star ‘gifted’ the land to Daulatpur village council for building a girls college named after his daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.

Raj Kumari Singh Oct 27 complained to the district magistrate that though Bachchan in his 2007 letter to the Barabanki magistrate expressed his wish to gift the land to the village council, he had three years ago made the gift to an NGO to run the college.

Singh said Bachchan changed his mind and instead of the village council decided to gift the land to Nishtha Foundation headed by film actress-turned-Samajwadi Party MP Jayaprada. The foundation had taken the responsibility to build the girls’ college, and the construction has been pending for more than three years.

As the district magistrate set up an inquiry into Raj Kumari Singh‘s complaint, Bachchan promptly revoked his earlier ‘gift’ to Nishtha Foundation and decided to keep his earlier word of giving the land to the village council.

Bachchan’s land purchase has been dogged in controversy since he bought it. He was accused of using illegal means to acquire the land.
